Demographic urticaria
Dermographic urticaria, also known as dermographism or factitious urticaria, is the most common form of physical urticaria and is characterized by the appearance of linear, erythematous and edematous papules, accompanied by itching or burning, appearing immediately after friction, pressure, or scratching the skin. The lesions appear within minutes and usually disappear within 30 minutes to 2 hours, leaving no residual changes. In most cases, dermographism is asymptomatic, but it can be symptomatic and cause significant discomfort.
