Cholinergic urticaria

Cholinergic urticaria is a form of physical urticaria triggered by an increase in body temperature, such as during exercise, a hot bath, fever, emotional stress, or consumption of hot or spicy foods or drinks. It is characterized by the appearance of small, punctate papules, 1 to 5 mm in diameter, often surrounded by an erythematous halo, accompanied by intense itching and a burning sensation. The lesions usually appear minutes after the increase in core temperature, last from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and may resolve spontaneously as the body cools.
